Issue 26: NYC show photos…and a birthday wish!
Please help me take my show to Edinburgh Fringe!
Dear Strawberries,
It’s a BIG day because…
Today is my birthday (22 never looked so good!)
I launched a fundraiser (so I can take my show to Fringe!)
I’m sharing photos from my NYC work-in-progress show (scroll down!)
A Birthday Wish: Please Support My Show!
Today is my birthday, and as a famously-shrewd self-promoter (lol), I am leveraging this attention (which, honestly, should be directed toward my parents — thank you, Mom and Dad, especially Mom!!!) to ask for your support.
My show, The Funny Thing About A Panic Attack, was accepted by a venue at the world-famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival(!!!), and I’m humbly seeking your help to make my Fringe dreams a reality this August.
Up to this point, my NYC performance and planning my 5 shows in Los Angeles + 24 shows(!!!) at Edinburgh has been completely self-funded. Your support will go directly toward a) vital expenses to bring the show to life at Fringe, and b) equitable compensation for my incredible collaborators. If you are able, please consider making a donation. (And if not, check out the page for other non-monetary ways you can support the show!)
NYC Photos And Highlights
It was, in a word, wow. Just…WOW.
We sold out the theater! We laughed and we cried! We took over a nearby bar and camped out for like five hours! It was an incredible crowd, a powerful talkback, and a deeply special day, top to bottom. I am really proud of the work our team has done, and so grateful for everyone’s love, generosity, vulnerability, and insights to help us make the show clearer, more powerful, more realized, more true.
Thank you SO much to everyone who made Sunday so memorable, and to the bona fide dream team who brought this show to life. Check out some of these stellar photos by Holly Van Ness!
With love and thanks and more love and more thanks and also pancakes,
Ben
